A Cambodian Odyssey by Haing Ngor,
Historical, New york, NY 10103, The Warner and The Macmillan Company, 1989
published. This book take you on a journey throughout Cambodia in time where it
was one of the most peaceful place on earth and the most horrific place
on earth. The life and family of Haing Ngor(the author,) Ngor Kea(
father,) Lim Ngor( mother,) Chang My Huoy( wife) and what he went through to
survive the Khmer Rouge Regime torture. The torment he witness with little kids
not even old enough to drive, carry AK-47, pistol and missile launcher,
shooting random pedestrian in the head for not following order that the little
kids command and the fight for communism. Haing is one strong man to endure
that much pain. I learned that this book give me a great inside on what my
parent went through, without the entire sugar cote. It make me look at them in
a different perspective on how they, act, communicate. When he got his Doctor
degree and started to save lives. I would definitely recommend this book to
somebody. This book has romance, struggle, pain, evil, death.
Sounds very powerful. I will add it to my list of books to read.
